Curriculum Web

The use of webbing in program planning is popular with early childhood professionals. A web can be thought of as a graphic overall picture of what might be included in a theme or unit approach to instruction. To create a plan, the staff chooses an idea, brainstorms hands-on activities and materials to use, and puts them on a tentative web. This serves as a road map for what students will learn that week. The object of creating a web is for the teacher to define and refine the web-based on the interests and needs of their current group of children.
