Computer Science Question

Learning Goal: I’m working on a computer science writing question and need a sample draft to help me learn.

UML Models and Testing Levels

[WLOS: 1, 2, 3, 4] [CLOS: 1, 2, 3, 4]

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapter 3 and 4 from the course text, Software Testing Foundations. In addition, review the final project in Week 5. This assignment is Part 2 of your final project. You will need the software requirements specification (SRS) document you developed in Week 1 to complete this assignment.

In a business report,

  • Develop the different UML models to capture the key design and requirements aspects of the system based on the SRS document you developed in Week 1.
    • Some of the models should include class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, and use case diagrams.
    • You can use Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, or another software of your choice to develop your UML models.
    • Be sure to include your models in the paper as a figure formatted according to the Writing Center’s APA resource Tables, Images, & Appendices.
  • Identify the details for the different levels of testing:
    • Component tests.
    • Integration tests.
    • System tests.
    • Acceptance tests.
    • You can use your concept map built this week to help you complete this portion of the assignment.

The UML Models and Testing Levels report

  • Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length.
  • Must be written using appropriate business tone according to the resource What Is Professional Writing?
  • Must utilize academic voice. See the Academic Voice resource for additional guidance.
  • Utilize the Writing in Business and Writing a Business Report resource for assistance in how to write an effective business report.
  • Must use at least two to three scholarly, peer-reviewed, or credible sources in addition to the course text.
    • The Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types. If you have questions about whether a specific source is appropriate for this assignment, please contact your instructor. Your instructor has the final say about the appropriateness of a specific source for a particular assignment.
    • To assist you in completing the research required for this assignment, view this University Library Quick ‘n’ Dirtytutorial, which introduces the University of Arizona Global Campus Library and the research process, and provides some library search tips.
  • Must document any information used from sources in APA Style as outlined in the Writing Center’s APA: Citing Within Your Paper guide.
  • Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA Style as outlined in the Writing Center. See the APA: Formatting Your References List resource in the Writing Center for specifications.
